Hello! We’re Don and Chris Flowers, the husband-and-wife team behind Sunshine Book Nook in Urbana, Ohio. After a 30-year career in IT and cybersecurity, Don retired to turn his lifelong love of reading into our own independent bookstore. As a former teacher, Chris brings her background in education and her passion for community engagement to everything we do.

We are opening Sunshine Book Nook with a simple goal to create a cozy community bookstore where you will find a hand-picked selection of new and gently used titles, and plenty of events—from local author readings to book clubs and more—designed to bring readers together.

We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors when we open at 111 N. Main St. in Urbana and help you discover your next favorite story!
